Corinne’s love for the arts started at the young age of three when she was enrolled in dance classes. Her education at such an early age in ballet, jazz, hula, salsa, mambo and modern dance, although was short-lived, enlighten a passion and love for performance. With a drive to entertain, she continued performing as an actor in theater, film and television mediums. Even though she was performing, a deep void still remained. When the opportunity to audition as a dancer/cheerleader for the Florida Titan Semi-Pro Football team presented itself, Corinne couldn’t pass up the chance. She performed for the team a full season and again ignited the dance fire from within. Corinne began performing in several music videos and dance clubs around Miami Beach. And later became an Exotic, Pole, Matt and Lap Dance instructor at several different studios in South Florida. “To be able to incorporate the things you love in life and do them all as a career, is the most rewarding experience. And the most satisfying feeling when teaching Exotic dancing is seeing the empowerment, confidence, sensuality, and self-esteem changes my clients endure.” |

Oceana began her lifelong fascination with movement at age six when she took acrobatics in Thousand Oaks. The progression to competitive gymnastics at age twelve was natural and she competed through high school, her best event being the balance beam. During her college years she studied ballet and operatic voice. Although she had always been drawn to eastern rythyms, it wasn't until she was a guest at an Indian engagement party that she saw a pair of sisters performing a special candle dance that she was inspired to find a class and begin her training.
As luck would have it, she chanced upon a bellydance class taught by a legend, the amazing Mesmera who teaches and performs internationally but is based right here in Los Angeles. With the guidance and support of a true master of the dance, Oceana has become a confident and dynamic performer over the last six years, in the American cabaret, gypsy, and Egyptian styles. Oceana is also a snake dancer in Mesmera's Sacred Serpent Troupe. In an effort to further develop a unique personal style, Oceana has studied some tribal with Heather Shoopman, and Egyptian with Zahra Zuhair in addition to attending various workshops on a regular basis.
The most recent and exciting chapter in Oceana's story is her recent foray into teaching. Anyone who has known her for even a short time will learn of her love for all animals and especially sea creatures. Her affinity for animals and the sea defines her personality and is the object of a majority of her affections. It is through dance that she is able to communicate that love and respect for all life to her students. Bellydance, of all dance forms has survived for thousands of years not only for entertainment, but because it has a real ability to heal and empower those who seek to explore its many secrets. Oceana invites you to join her in experiencing the life giving dance. |

Neil Williams Born and raised in Alaska, Neil's start in fitness was purely accidental. More into Chess club and comic book collecting growing up, he made it a point to avoid gym class as much as possible, and actually managed to avoid it the whole eighth grade year. Then in high school, the policy required him to take gym or play a sport. He chose a to join the wrestling team based on the fact that the sports season was shorter than a school year and the weight classes seemed easier. Needless to say he was horrible but was inspired to improve. He began training at a gym, asking questions and reading up. After two years he was hired on as a trainer at that same gym. By the time his senior year came around he was captain of the wrestling team and had won a local bodybuilding contest. From then on he has been a proud "fitness nerd" gaining a degree in Sports Medicine and continuing to learn and apply a variety of exercise principles. As a private trainer/instructor Neil has applied principles of and instructed in the styles of BOSU, Kick boxing (for fitness purposes), Sport specific S&C, PNF (assisted stretching), Core stability, Weight Loss. Not to mention, Neil is also a dance enthusiast learning Salsa, Cha-Cha, Merengue, East Coast Swing, Charleston, and some Ballroom. Neil's philosophy is simple "nothing is impossible, and I'm going to prove it." |
